James (Jim) Bernard Brafford, age 65, died Oct. 2, 2019, was the son of the late Harry Wm. and the late Mary (nee Schwietert) Brafford, He was the beloved brother of William H (Christine A) Brafford, Linda B (George) Scheper, and Daniel R (Suellen M) Brafford. Devoted uncle of Bob, Beth, Kate, Chris, Michelle, Erin and Josh, and 7 great nephews and 6 great nieces.
James retired from Mt. Washington Kroger in 2017 after 25 years of Front End service. Previously he worked 15 years at Salem Care Center.
A devoted bike rider, music lover and movie aficionado, James could recite dates and stars of all his favorite movies. He lived to recount the tales of his many nephews and nieces and their children. He went all through school with his best friend Patrick Ryan (Mt. Washington, Linwood, Eastern Hills and Cincinnati Technical High School) and considered Patrick's family part of his family as well. For many years he was a frequenter of Mt Washington Barber shop and dear friend of Chuck Senior.
In lieu of flowers, send memorials to The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden (where his grandfather and namesake Bernard Schweitert worked for many years).
