James "Jim" Dawson

James (Jim) Edward Dawson passed away on the morning of April 21st, 2024 at the age of 77 after a battle with vascular dementia. Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, operating the flight simulator for the KC-130 aircrafts. Jim loved travelling to Hilton Head Island, space, dogs, and watching sports. He is survived by his sister (Barbara Mallon), his children (Kyle Dawson and Beth Dawson), his grandson (Elijah Deveny), and his wife of 49 years (Diana Dawson).

An inurnment will held privately for Jim's family. The family is not planning on having a memorial service at this time but may host an open house in the future. If this occurs, details will be updated on this website. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Jim's name to the Alzheimer's Association to support continued work in the field of dementia research.
