James Owens

James M. Owens, age 88 of Anderson Twp., died August 1, 2021. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to the late Wanda L. Owens (nee Dillon), devoted father of James M. Owens Jr. (Cathy), Sheree L. Carney (Michael), Thomas L. Owens (Carlotta Piastrelli), Kimberly D. Carman, and Matthew S. Owens (Beth), loving grandfather of Lee Owens, Nicolle Taylor, Paul Young, Dena Egbert, Nicholas M. Carney, Travis M. Carney, James Hungler, Douglas A. Carman, Grace Elizabeth Owens and Olivia Lee Owens, cherished great-grandfather of Sean and Cameron Owens, Peyton, Nathan, and Bryson Taylor, Austin, Alec, Aidan, and Duncan Young, Emily and Jillian Egbert, and Seth Carney, and dear brother of Frances Cannon and the late William Lee Owens. Proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Funeral service will be held at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 7th at 12 pm. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm. The interment will immediately follow the service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery and everyone is invited back to the church for a reception to continue in the celebration of Jim's life.
