James "Sandy" Cambron of Florence, Kentucky, born on November 8, 1945, in Louisville, Ky. Passed away on September 28, 2023, resident of Florence, KY. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Cambron (nee Wheeler), a son, Matthew Cambron of Nashville, Tennessee and a daughter, Bonnie Cambron of Arlington, Virginia. Loving son of the late William S. Cambron and Clarene Cambron, of Louisville, Kentucky.
Sandy was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He lived his formative years in Louisville, Kentucky where he graduated from Durrett High School and graduated from the University of Louisville where he was President of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Sandy spent 4 years in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He then went to Vanderbilt University where he obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the College of Law and then practiced law in New Haven, Connecticut while obtaining a M.S. degree in Accounting (Taxation).
Sandy spent his career practicing law, teaching and acting as a trust officer for various banks. He enjoyed photography, reading and driving hot rod automobiles. He was also a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years, and a director of Cove Federal Credit Union. He was also a member of the Retreads Car Club, Mensa and the Sons of the American Revolution.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 2690 Dixie Hwy, Lakeside Park, KY 41017 at 10am. Friends may visit the Church on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, from 5pm-7pm. Condolences may be made in the form of donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. T.P.
