Jane Miller

July 4, 1955 — April 14, 2025

Jane Miller passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 69, surrounded by loving family. She was born on July 4, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH, to Edward and Trula Tobias. She was the beloved wife of Bob Miller, the loving mother of Bobby Miller and Elaine (Kyle) Nowak, and the kindhearted grandmother of Carly, Sammy, and Allie Nowak.

For several years, Jane worked as a buyer at Swallen's, then worked at other retail stores. But the role she valued most was motherhood. Alongside her husband, she supported her two children with her kindness and generosity. She participated in scouting with them, cheered them on in all their sporting events, and played all sorts of games with them at home. But greatest of all were her abilities to spread cheerful humor, to give warm hugs, and to listen with compassion.

Others experienced her warmth and generosity as well. She helped elderly neighbors with their yard work and supported family members who were struggling with illness. Over 20 cats, many of whom had been strays before, received food and love thanks to her. Because her compassion knew no bounds, Jane always ensured other animals in her neighborhood were also cared for. She set out food for birds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer and even raccoons and possums - anybody in need.

When Jane had time to enjoy herself, she would listen to country music, make ornaments out of clay, and watch wholesome TV shows and movies. She especially appreciated Hallmark Christmas movies.

In fact, she savored everything about Christmas. She made every festive season special by picking out just the right gifts, decorating every corner of her home, and even hand-painting ornaments for her children and grandchildren. These beautiful ornaments will always be cherished.

What her family will always cherish most of all, though, is her selfless attitude. Jane always wanted to know if everyone else was doing okay, what she could do to help, and how she could make their days even better. Although she is with Jesus now, her family will carry out her legacy here by supporting one another with the same type of warmth, kindness, and compassion she showed them.

To celebrate her life and mourn her passing, a visitation will be held at Mount Carmel Christian Church (4110 Bach Buxton Rd, Batavia, OH 45103) on April 23 at 10 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the League for Animal Welfare (https://www.lfaw.org) in honor of Jane's love for all of God's creatures.
