Janet Ashford

Janet Parker Ashford, adoring wife of the late Robert Nesbit and the late Sam Ashford, beloved mother of Bob Nesbit, Martha (Tom) Colaner, Kate (Clyde) Elledge, Jim (Beth) Nesbit, and Susan (Jerry McGeorge) Nesbit. Loving sister of Martha Parker and cherished friend of Barbara Broud. Fun-loving grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 4. Janet grew up in Chicago, where she and her husband Bob raised their family. She was an excellent tennis player, active participant in the Episcopal church, and a successful real estate salesperson. She loved family, friends, travel, sports, parades, and a nice stiff Manhattan! Janet's legacy is her ability to light up a room with fun and laughter, which continued through her long journey with Alzheimer's disease. She was laid to rest in a beautiful green burial ceremony at Heritage Acres Memorial Sanctuary in Pierce Township, Ohio.
