Janette Carberry

June 4, 1937 — May 26, 2024

Janette L. Carberry (nee Brown), age 86 of St. Bernard, died May 26, 2024. Her late husband was Thomas L. Carberry. Jan was born in Cincinnati in 1937 to the late Charlie and Sue Brown. She graduated from Mercy High School. She was a Girl Scout leader at St. Clement from 1968-1972 and a member of St. Clement choir for the better part of 60 years. Jan was her late husband's assistant and support in his CPA business and spent many years working for the Franciscan Development Office along side her uncle, Ulmer Kuhn, OFM.

Jan was the beloved mother of Diana Schuman (Don) Miller, caring grandmother of Andrew (Jessica) and Peter (Shannon) Miller, adored great-grandmother of Lucas, Claire and Scout Miller, cherished twin-sister of Joan Lee (the late Carl) Ronnenberg and beloved sister of John Wade (Diana) Brown, Margaret Helen "Peggy" (Ernie) Barnhart, Michael Ray (Anita) Brown and the late Barbara Ann (Gene) Schiele.

In addition to her many loving nieces and nephews, Jan also leaves behind her devoted sister-in-law Linda Carberry. As well as Gary and his wife Maylena, their daughter Daerla and son Anthony Kolling.

Jan will be remembered by many other family and friends.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clement Church, 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, 45217 on Saturday June 29th at 11 am where friends and family may visit from 10 am until time of Mass. A private family interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery on Monday July 1st. If desired memorials can be made to Clement Church or Sisters of St. Francis at St. Clare Hall, P.O. Box 200, Oldenburg, IN 47036. T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home serving the family.
