Jay Steeves

Jay Milner Steeves, was born in Lynn, MA., on November 21, 1939. Son of the late James and Isabelle (nee Huggins) Steeves, brother of the late William Steeves, beloved husband of Wilma Steeves (nee Christiansen), married for 55 years at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, loving father of Susan (Scott) Dobias and Ann Steeves Selby, proud grandfather of Rebecca, Laura, Katherine, and William Selby, and Michael Dobias. Jay moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1951 and retired to North Carolina in 2001 after a career in Research and Development for several manufacturing companies, Senco Products, G.E. Co., Cincinnati Milacron and inventor for 2 Patents for Senco. Graduate of University of Cincinnati and received an Honorable Discharge from the Army Reserve after serving 6 years. On July 2, 2018, Jay passed away, surrounded by his loving family. Formerly of Anderson Twp. Service at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington on Fri. July 13, at 11 AM. Friends may visit on Thur. from 5-8 PM. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army, St. Jude or charity of choice.
