Bogart, Jean Gale (nee Bauer) age 82 years of Upper Arlington, Ohio and formerly of Hyde Park (Cincinnati), passed away on April 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Donald F. Bogart, devoted mother of Clay (Ruth) Bogart, Sally Bogart (Steve) Sommers, Lyn Bogart (Jeff) Stagnaro, and the late Andy Bogart, loving grandmother of Corrie (Joe) Gladwell, Andrew and Betsie Bogart, Scott and Sheryl Sommers, Eliza (Eli) Liske, Emilee (Daniel) Lopez, Jamie (Libby), Jeffrey, Justin, Taylor, Joseph, Jake, Jessie, and Jeb Stagnaro, caring great-grandmother of Elam and Zeke Liske and Gio Lopez-Stagnaro, dear sister of Joan Krause and Sally Nilsen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jean grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended Dale Park Elementary, Kilgour Elementary and then Withrow High School. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati School of Education, she became an elementary school teacher. She enjoyed playing the piano, antiquing and politics. She also had a passion for tracing the family roots, culminating in a trip to Europe to see ancestral villages. Above all, Jean loved her family and was always there for them. She was a loving, generous supportive wife, mother and grandmother, who promoted a love for learning for her children, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, 7515 Forest Rd., Cincinnati, OH. 45255, on Monday, April 18 at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, (Cincinnati, OH. 45230), on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.
