Jeannette Jan Carter (nee Noland) of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on February 5, 2024 at age 87. Beloved wife of Roger Carter for 61 years; devoted mother of Laurie (Scott) Rose of Chicago, IL, Susan (John) Basile of Bluffton, SC, and Jen Carter of Bluffton, SC; proud grandmother of Nicholas, Dylan, and Henry Rose, and Harper Basile.
Jan graduated from Sharonville High School in 1954 and Miami University in 1958 with a degree in education. She taught business classes and advised the senior class at Princeton High School from 1959 to 1964 before transferring her creative teaching skills to raising her three daughters. Starting in 1984, Jan joined Rogers family business, Oral T. Carter & Assoc., until her retirement in 2019. She excelled at crafts including sewing and decoupage. Jan infused determination and colorful humor into everything she did, and she never met a home improvement project that she could not conquer.
Jan was blessed with long-term friends at Anderson Hills Church and cul-de-sac neighbors who became a second family. Visitation will occur at T. P. White Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave, on Saturday, February 10, from 9-11 am. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Anderson Hills Church http://andersonhills.org
