John E. Symes

John E. Symes, 83, of Mt. Washington, born May 29,1938, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 17, 2021, surrounded by his devoted wife of 57 plus years, Betty (née Blum) and his loving family.

John was preceded in death by his mother Emma, brother Gordon, brother-in-law Eugene, sister-in-law Shirley, son Mark and daughter Mary. He is survived by four children Michelle(Scott), Michael, Margaret and Melissa; his sister-in-law Beverly Blum; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was a beloved grandfather of Phillip(Megan), Marissa(Josh), Mikayla(Josh), Patrick(Hanna), Sarah, Madison, and Mark; and, a very proud great grandfather of Melody, Eleanor and Ellie.
John was a veteran of the US Army and served his country in Korea. He enjoyed life, greeted
each day with a song and a smile, and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 7, 2021 at Mt. Washington United Methodist Church 6365 Corbly Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45230 at 2pm.
