John "Jack" R. Cronin

John "Jack" Robert Cronin, Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning, March 13, 2021. Jack had been battling pancreatic cancer since October of 2020. Jack was born in Cincinnati on October 29, 1951. In addition to his parents, John and Anne Cronin, Jack was preceded in death by his sisters Connie (Cronin) Smith and Barbie Cronin. Surviving, in addition to his wife of twenty-two years, Debbie (nee Clift) Cronin, his daughter, Lisa (Cronin) Carpenter, husband, Jason, grandchildren Owen, Drew, and Trey, his daughter, Jennifer (Cronin) Noonan, husband Drew, grandchildren Samantha, Hunter Maynard and wife, Tiffany, Jolee, Rilee, Natilee, and great granddaughter, Sofia Rose, his son John Cronin III, grandson, John IV, his step-daughter, Kelly (Dates) Bigham, husband, Chris, grandson, Calvin, his sister Peggy Cronin, brother-in-law Don Smith, and abundance of close friends. Jack graduated from Purcell High School, Class of 1969 and attended the University of Cincinnati. Jack had a lengthy career at U.S. Shoe and spent time coaching soccer when his children were young. After his retirement, Jack and Debbie became snowbirds, enjoying the sandy beaches of Fort Myers. Smiling Jack was loved by many relatives and friends. He cherished his family, loved the Florida sun and will always be remembered with a smile on his face. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
