McDonald, John Charles "Jack". Loving husband of Kimberly McDonald (nee Flanagan). Loving father of Melissa (Mark) Smith and Tracy (Brian) Johnson. Beloved pops to Cody and Lauren Johnson and Jack and Cate Smith. Dear Brother of George (Betty) and Barrett (Dianne) McDonald, Mary (Bill) Corbett, Sue (Tim) Clarke, Kathy O'Callaghan, Dorothy (Tim) Hogan, Ann Reak and the late Bill McDonald and Betty Osterbrock. Son of the late George and Dorothy McDonald. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Jack was a proud veteran that served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War, decorated with the Bronze Star with "V" device and the 82nd Airborne Division after the war. He was later inducted into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame. Died April 27, 2015 at age 68. Residence Anderson Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7820 Beechmont Ave., on Saturday May 2 at 10:00 AM. Friends may visit at T.P. White and Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave. on Friday from 6-9 PM. If desired memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
