Joseph John Niedzwiecki, age 77, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 1, 2021 after an extended illness while receiving hospice care at the Anderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Anderson Township, Ohio.
Joe was born to Julian and Sophie Niedzwiecki on March 19, 1944 and grew up in Cleveland, OH. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.
Joe retired from the Air Force after twenty years of service and spent the rest of his career working for the government. He had a long and distinguished career, having the respect of everyone he knew for his dedication to his country.
Joe met his beautiful bride, Carol, while stationed in Massachusetts. They married in 1968, and settled down in Huber Heights, Ohio, raising their two daughters, Dena and Kim.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Joe and Carol enjoyed many years traveling together, dining at their favorite restaurants, and spending many evenings dancing the night away. He was known for his humor, quick wit, and infectious smile; and his six grandchildren have fond memories of Papa traditions like coloring Easter eggs, making Papas bread, dressing up at Halloween, and expert wagon pulling.
He is survived by his wife Carol; his daughter Dena, her husband Neil, and their three children - Megan, Julia, and Laurel; his daughter Kim, her husband Clint, and their three children - Alec, Emily, and Jenna; and his brother, Raymond.
Joe will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.
