Joseph "Joe" Abbott Jr.

Joseph "Joe" L. Abbott beloved husband of Margaret "Meg" Abbott (nee Murdock), loving father of Ashley (Jordan Bulcher) Abbott and Joseph "Joe" R. Abbott, dear brother of Grace (Allan) Livingston, caring brother-in-law of Bob (Patti) Murdock, proud uncle of Alec, Jessie, Maggie, Joseph (Carrie) and Claire (Nick) and son of the late Marie and Joe Abbott. Also survived by many cousins and friends. Passed away Dec. 13, 2024, at age 58. Resident of Eastgate.

Joe was a giving person, dedicated to his family, friends and community. He was active in several charities including serving on the board of the M.E. Lyons YMCA and the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection ELCA. His main passion was to reduce food insecurity in Cincinnati. Joe was also an avid swimmer, at Sycamore high school and throughout his life. In his free time, Joe loved vacationing in northern Michigan at his and Meg's happy place, Crooked Lake. Joe cherished his children. He made his wife and children the center of his life.

Funeral service on Wednesday, December 18th at 12pm at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection ELCA, 1950 Nagel Rd., Cincinnati. Friends may visit the church from 10:30AM-12PM. Burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
