Joseph Ludwig Zistler beloved husband of the late Mary Margaret Zistler (nee Roll), devoted father of Joseph R. (Lynn), John G. (Margie), James A. (Cathy), Jerome K. (Cindy), and Jeffrey F. (Holly) Zistler, the late Mary H., the late Robin, dear grandfather of Joseph (Laura), Aaron (Christy), Thomas (Nicole), Lauren (Michael), Brian (Lisa), John, and Zachary, Sherry, Christina (James), Jamie (Paul), the late Steven; brother of Fred Zistler(Joyce), also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. September 12, 2018. Age 88 years. Residence Mt. Washington. Mass of Christian Burial at Guardian Angels Church, on Tuesday September 18th at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington, Monday, 5:00-8:00 PM, with American Legion Post 484 and Archbishop Moeller K of C Council 3861 services. Joe was retired from the City of Cincinnati Department of Buildings in 1990. Joe has been active in the Archbishop Moeller Knights of Columbus since 1964 and was chairman of the Measure-Up Program, benefiting disadvantaged citizens of our community. Dad was an excellent harmonica player and graced the community monthly at American Legion Post 484 breakfast with bluegrass music from the Coney Island Bluegrass Band. He loved gardening, fishing, his dogs, friends, and his family. He was a football and baseball coach within the Mt. Washington community. Memorials to Catholic Residential Services of Cincinnati 100 E. 8th Street Cincinnati 45202 and Guardian Angels Church. Joe served his country proudly during the Korean War in the US Army.
