Joyce Louise Botsford (nee Edwards) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Jan. 9, 2022. Joyce was 91 years old. She was born on July 30, 1930, to Robert Edwards and Alma Edwards (nee Conn). She grew up in a loving family of brothers and sisters: late Virginia Coupe, the late Peter Edwards and is survived by siblings: George Edwards (Marcella), Betty Mattman (Al) and Michael Edwards (Debbie) and numerous nieces and a nephew. She told numerous amusing stories of her life growing up in the south. Her southern accent always kicked whenever she talked about her youth or to her siblings. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Gene Botsford. They were married in Pensacola Florida in May 1958. They lived in numerous locations before settling in Cincinnati. Bill and Joyce raised 3 children: Robert (Jennifer), Elizabeth (Jeff) and William Jr (Dawn). She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, Remington, Michael, Meghan, Rachael, Jenna, Brie, Robert Jr and Alex and great grandchildren, Lucas, Leah, Thea and Wyatt. Before marriage Joyce worked as an airline stewardess for Eastern Airlines and once flew with Captain Eddie Rickenbacker. She was a successful real estate agent in Cincinnati until her retirement. She was also a formidable bridge player. Joyce will be remembered and missed by her family and many friends. A Private Family Service will be held later.
