Kathleen "Taffy" Ann Nichols, 69, of Union Township, Ohio, who peacefully left us on August 15th, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.
Taffy is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Mary Renner, as well as brothers Jay Renner and Tim Renner.
Remembered by her devoted husband, Bruce Nichols, Taffy is also survived by her loving children, Karen (Aaron) Bloomfield, Kristen (Sean) Laudeman, and Kevin (Dana) Nichols, along with her sister, Sue Anderson, and brothers, Ray (Barb) Renner, Jim Renner, Dru (Fran) Renner, and Pat Renner, as well as her grandchildren, Emma K, Lucy, Collin, Emma, Ethan, George, and great grandchildren, Ezra and Sawyer. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will remember her forever.
An avid reader, Taffy loved a good mystery and reading books to her grandchildren. She became quite the world traveler, taking trips to Israel, England, Ireland, Italy, as well as many national parks, in a goal to reach all 50 states. Bruce and Sue were her faithful traveling companions. Taffy spent many hours in the YMCA pool with her mermaid friends and volunteered her time and energy at A Caring Place. She very much enjoyed walks in nature, sewing, baking cookies, doing puzzles, playing cards, talking on the phone and spending time with family whenever she could.
Join us in celebrating Taffy's life at her memorial visitation scheduled for August 26th, 2024, from 9-10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7820 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45255. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at the church, followed by a gathering of family and friends at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Heritage Hall (also on site).
