Kathryn Marie Komo, known to her loved ones as Kathy, passed away on November 8, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on August 5, 1977, in St Louis, MO. Kathy was a loving, caring, and outgoing mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Kalei Komo-Fecke, son Noah Elberfeld, mother Rosemary (Charlie) Moore, stepmother Virginia Komo, partner Johnathan Bailey, sister Amy (Fred) Heis, niece Grace, and nephew Paxton. She was preceded in death by her father Neal Komo.
Kathy attended Anderson High School and later pursued a nursing degree at Ohio University. She dedicated herself to a career as a nurse, using her compassionate nature to provide care and support to those in need. She enjoyed camping, crafts and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Kathy also proudly served 6 years in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. She was primarily stationed at the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton, CA, and received two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Fleet Marine Force Service Ribbon. Her commitment to her military associations exemplified her dedication and selflessness.
