Kenneth E. Berry, 85, of Anderson Township, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born December 30, 1937 to Mary (nee. Langenbahn) and Earl Berry in Cincinnati, Ohio. A lifelong resident of Anderson Township, Ken attended McNicholas High School and the University of Cincinnati on a baseball scholarship. He played professional baseball for the Milwaukee Braves organization and is a member of the McNicholas high school hall of fame. Ken founded and built a successful business, the Berg-Berry Insurance Agency, where his sons and grandson eventually joined him to follow in his footsteps. Throughout his life, Ken was an avid golfer, skier and tennis player. He loved all things Cincinnati especially the Reds and Bearcats. Ken was instrumental in growing the ATP tennis tournament into the Western & Southern Open throughout his many years as chairman of the board for Tennis for Charity. His contributions to the community were unmatched only by his love for his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen, and is survived by his wife, Linda, of 18 years. Brother of Glenn (Bonnie) Berry. Ken was the patriarch of a loving blended family and is survived as father to Gregg (Linda) Berry, Linda (Michael) York, and Mark (Gina) Berry, and as bonus dad to Leslie (Mike) Wiora, Lindsey (Matthew) Jarvis, and Jennifer (Greg) Costello. He was a devoted Papa to Austin, Ally, Aaron, Lauren, Sarah, Tucker, Tyler, Tanner, Trey, Cecilia, Maggie, Audrey, Michael, Evalyn, Lillian, Josephine, William along with four great grandchildren, Lilly, Savannah, Sloane, and Arthur, also survived by many fond nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Mt. Washington at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023. A private burial will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kens memory to Tennis for Charity (5460 Courseview Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45040) or the Good Samaritan Free Health Center (via Good Samaritan Foundation, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220).
