Kevin D. Nichols, 68, died May 17, 2020. A resident of Middletown, he formerly lived in Anderson Township and Amelia. A graphic artist, Mr. Nichols was proprietor of The Sign Place in Middletown for the past 15 years, designing and building custom signs for businesses. Kevin Nichols grew up in Anderson Township, the son of Arnold and Anita Nichols, and graduated from Anderson High School in 1969. His family has lived in Anderson Township and Mt. Washington for 225 years, having arrived in 1795. He married Sheila Peters in 1971, and they had three sons before separating. Mr. Nichols leaves his three sons, Kevin Sean, Jamie Michael, and Daniel Scott Nichols, and five grandchildren, Lauren, Katelynn, Kelsey, Michael, and Layla Nichols. His sister, the late Sandra Nichols Gaither & grandson Coty Ray Nichols preceded him in death. He also leaves a brother, Dennis Nichols, and a sister, Sharon McCarthy. All family members live in the Cincinnati area. In Middletown, he leaves associates and friends, including Rick DeBord, who was invaluable in assisting him in his business. Mr. Nichols died following complications from aorta repair surgery. T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home is serving the family. Services are private.
