Louis M. Dimmerman

June 19, 1944 — July 16, 2023

Louis "Lou" M. Dimmerman, age 79 of Union Twp. and formerly of Anderson Twp., died July 16, 2023. He was the beloved father of Scott and Sheri Dimmerman, loving cousin of Pat Adams and her daughter Jenny Adams. Lou proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a 42 year employee of the Ford Motor Company.

He was a dedicated member of the American Legion where he was a Past Department Commander of the State of Ohio, Past Commander of the 4th District, Past Commander and Life Member of the Mt. Washington Post 484, and Past National Chairman of the Children and Youth Committee. Lou had a passion for both children and patriotism and volunteered for Buckeye Boys State for many years. He was an avid collector of coins, knives, and antique cameras. Lou also had a passion and curiosity about religion. He was an active member of ARMM at Anderson Hills Church and took great pride in working with this group. Lou was passionate about the need for unions and was not only a member of the UAW Local 863 but also held the positions of Workers Compensation Representative and Recording Secretary for years.

Funeral ceremony and American Legion Service will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Thursday, July 27th at 7 pm. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27th from 5 to 7 pm. Graveside service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery on Friday, August 4th at 11 am.
