Luke Leonard

Leonard, Luke Joseph, age 80 years, passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2013. Remembered as a kind and gentle man, he was the beloved husband of Elaine (nee Piening), devoted father of Suzanne (Bill) of Philadelphia, Margaret Summers of Edgewater, MD, Christopher (Julie) of Mason, Ohio, Col. Luke Leonard of Louisville, KY. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Jonathan, TJ, Justin, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Patrick, Tucker and Daniel. Will also be missed by 5 brothers and sisters, Tim Leonard, Renie Louis, Harry Dornheggen, Annie Kallaher, and David Dornheggen. Preceded in death by his son, Peter, his parents Luke Leonard and Irene Albers and stepfather Dr. Harry Dornheggen, siblings Carolyn, James, William and Joseph Leonard. Luke lived most of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio where he graduated from Purcell High School, and University of Dayton, and further studied at Xavier University. He was also a Korean War veteran. Mass of Christian burial at St. John Fisher, Newtown, Ohio Monday, June 17, at 10:30 AM. Visitation at Church on Mon from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial to follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery in Price Hill.
