Marilyn “Skip” Quinn

July 15, 1930 — April 30, 2024

Marilyn “Skip” Loretta Reed Quinn, Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Lima, Ohio, was born on
July 15,1930 to Ralph and Nina Rothman Reed in Napoleon, Ohio. She passed away on
April 30, 2024, at age 93 after a long journey with dementia. She was preceded in death by
her parents, her husband Carl Norman Quinn, sister Betty Graham and her husband Bob,
brother Tom Reed and his wife Dortha, brother Jack Reed and Great-Grandson Hudson
Quinn Orzech. In our hearts, we know they are all celebrating eternal life with our
heavenly Father.

Skip is survived by her sons Tim and Anthony Quinn, her daughters Gloria and husband
Alan McMillan, Sandy and husband Steve Shipley, Carla and husband Chris Shrimpton,
Belinda and husband Bill Reynolds, Amy and husband Tim Driscoll, grandchildren Kyle
and Sara Shipley, Collin Shipley, Kevin Shipley, Michael and Danielle Shrimpton, Eric and
Addie Shrimpton, Brian and Tina Shrimpton, Matthew Quinn, Abby and Tyler Orzech, Eric
and Ryan Reynolds, Megan and Tyler Boyle, Madeline Driscoll and Emily and Jay Zoldy.
Great-grandchildren Kiley and Aiden Shipley, Owen, Annie and William Shrimpton, Wyatt
and Chloe Shrimpton, Tyler, Aidan, Poppy and Dalton Quinn, Rowan Orzech, and Blake,
Lyla, and Lainey Boyle. She is also survived by her brother Duanne Reed and his wife Lena
and literally hundreds of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Skip was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and Grandma Skip. After graduating
from Columbus Grove High School, she worked for the Army Depot in Lima, Ohio. She
married Carl in 1950, gave birth to 7 children and spent many years being a Cub Scout
Leader, Room Mother, Cafeteria and Library Assistant, Soccer Mom and volunteering at
Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. She made many friends in her Britney Acres Cincinnati
neighborhood, enjoying 40 plus years of parties, celebrations, and camaraderie. Her
fondest memories were of spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-
grandchildren.

Thank you to the Memory Care staff of Montage, Mason, Ohio, and to Queen City Hospice.
We are so appreciative for the loving and compassionate care you provided to our Mother
and Grandma Skip.

Mary Catholic Church, 7770 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH, 45255.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Immaculate
Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 7770 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45255,
followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Luncheon will be held in the IHM Heritage Hall
immediately following Mass. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000
Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249, following lunch. www.tpwhite.com
