Martin A. Briede, age 83 of Anderson Twp., passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was born on September 8, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Martin and Dorothy Briede. He grew up in Cincinnati and attended Purcell High School and The Univerity of Dayton.
After college, he joined the Navy and was stationed in the Mediterranean for 3 years and 4 months, where he met Liz while in France. After the service, he worked for Proctor and Gamble for 27 years. He retired in 1992 and enjoyed many winters in Bradenton, Florida with Liz and many friends. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, and painting and volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters for many years.
Martin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Briede, and daughters Julie Wagner (Brad) and Katie Montanus (Mike) of Cincinnati, and grandchildren Colette and Sydney Wagner and Andrew, Molly, and Regan Montanus. Also, sister Mary Stevenson, brother Jim (Mavis) Briede, and sister Ann (the late Jeff) Fluharty.
A Blessing will be held at T.P. White and Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Sunday, February 25th at 2:00 p.m. where family and friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. All who knew Martin are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
