With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mary Lee Coorey, 71, on January 27, 2025, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. Mary Lee was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Mary Lee is survived by John, her husband of 47 years, sons John (Jillian) and Alex (Danni), and her grandchildren Jackson, Juliana, and Jolie. She is also survived by her seven brothers and sisters, Peggy (Bart) Vollmer, Brian (Kim) Kiley, Keith (Deanna) Kiley, Patrick Kiley, Julie (Ron) Kneidl, Kurt (Liz) Kroger, and Kristi Christensen. She leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her father James Kiley and her mother Mary Marlene Browne.
Mary Lee’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a constant source of love and support for her husband and children, and most especially, being Nana to her grandkids. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Despite her health challenges, Mary Lee faced each day with unwavering bravery and a positive spirit, never losing her sense of humor, dedication to her family, or deep love for those around her.
Mary Lee loved watching her grandkids’ basketball and baseball games and dance recitals. Mary Lee and John spent many summers at Coney Island, she enjoyed going on family vacations, decorating her home for the holidays, and, as a life-long Cincinnatian, watching the Reds, Bengals, and Bearcats. More than anything, she was the world’s biggest cheerleader for her sons, grandkids, and her family.
