Mary Jean Niehaus of Cincinnati, Ohio left this earth on June 1st, 2024 after a long and wonderful life. She was 96 years old.
Mary Jean was born November 5, 1927, the second child of the late Raymond and Edith Brookbank.
She was a graduate of Norwood High School and went on to a career in floral designing at her own shop Clay Pot Flowers and then a bridal consultant at Cappel's of Cincinnati.
Mary Jean is preceded in death by her husband Richard Charles Niehaus and her oldest child Terrance Charles Niehaus. Survived by three of her children: Sally (Ron) Lehman, Amy (Dwayne) Suhr, Todd (Cindy) Niehaus, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many friends.
Mary Jean loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling. She was very creative painting in various mediums, teaching painting, making greeting cards, flower arranging, sewing and needlework. She was involved with her church activities and playing the piano, bells and organ. She was also part of the Daughters of the American Revolution with her mother. She had a love of dogs especially her greyhounds.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7 from 9:15am to 10:15 at T.P. White and Sons Funeral Home. With a grave side service 11am at the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Blue Ash Ohio.
