Mary Catherine "Kate" Sampson

December 9, 1971 — September 29, 2024

Mary Catherine "Kate" Sampson, age 52, of Cincinnati, passed away on September 29, 2024. Born in Lawrence, MA, she grew up in Cincinnati as the cherished daughter of Anne Murray and the late William Murray.

Kate was a devoted mother to Jack and Emma, and a beloved sister to Christopher (Chris) Murray and Elizabeth (Beth) Clark. She was a loving aunt to Kyle, Chandler, Ryan, and the late Chelsea. Kate was the devoted partner of Matt Saurine. She is also survived by her former spouse, Ted Sampson, father of her children, along with a host of extended family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends.

Kate was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent many years of her career at Fidelity Investments. Prior to her time at Fidelity, Kate worked as a radiation therapist at the UC Health Barrett Cancer Center, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and expertise.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, October 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 15, at 10:30 AM at Guardian Angels Church, 6539 Beechmont Avenue.

Kate's family, friends, and work and school families will forever cherish her memory and the positive impact she made in every community she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of compassion, strength, and kindness will live on.

In honor of Kate, a memorial fund is being established at McNicholas High School to support students in participating in school-sponsored travel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Kate Sampson Memorial Fund at McNicholas High School. Donations can be sent to:
