Maureen Dikeman

Maureen C. Dikeman (nee Corcoran) age 87 of Union Twp., passed away April 22, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Fred G. Dikeman, III, devoted mother of Fred G. (Louise) Dikeman, IV, and Jane E. (Charles "Chip") Gerhardt, III, and loving grandmother of William Dikeman, Charles, Anne, and Henry Gerhardt.

Maureen grew up in Buffalo, NY, and graduated from Rosary Hill College. She and her husband Fred had two children and moved around the country for his job, from Delaware to Wisconsin and many points in between. Maureen was very outgoing; she volunteered and made many friendships wherever she lived. Though she was an excellent cook, gardener, and watercolorist, she never stayed home for long, enjoying curling, tennis, bowling, and especially golf. She loved Springer Spaniels, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Maureen excelled at planning extensive trips. In their 66 year marriage, Maureen and Fred spent many happy weeks wandering the backroads of Australia, Northern Europe and 49 states, frequently getting lost despite her beloved AAA TripTiks.

Maureen will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Friday, April 26th at 10 am. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 9 to 10 am. A private family interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
