Michael Charles Corringham Adams, age 78 of Mt. Washington, died October 5, 2023. Born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, he was educated at the University of Wales and the University of Sussex. He retired from Northern Kentucky University as Regents Professor of History Emeritus in 2003 after thirty-one years of teaching. A nationally recognized scholar on America in the Civil War and in WWII, he also founded NKU's award-winning chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honorary. He is survived by his loving wife Susan Steves Adams; his son, Davith O. (Jenny Horst) Adams; his daughter, Kathleen A. (Kevin) Wiliams; and his steps-sons, Gregory L. (Jill Crouch) and Andrew Scott (Amanda) Kissel, and 10 grandchildren. At his request, a private family service will be held. Memorials may be directed to the Prostate Cancer Foundation
