Michael J. Murray crossed the rainbow bridge on February 20, 2024, at the age of 60. He was the son of Cherie and John Murray, father to Emily and Zachary Murray, brother to Cassandra Staples, Elaina Murray-Carmichael and Alexandra Murray, life partner to Cyndy Bueg and friend to many others.
Mike lived a rich, full life, serving in the United States Navy and later opening and operating a lawn mower repair shop. He was a master mechanic gifted with innovative talent and a love of electronics and loved to teach anyone who wanted to learn. He was passionate about Ham Radio, achieving the level of Advanced Extra (K8QBL) and was well respected in the community for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with other Hams. He enjoyed building antenna systems, helping new hams get on the air, and making acquaintances around the world.
Charismatic and outspoken, he made many friends and had a huge loving heart and a giving nature. For better or for worse he always lived life "his way."
A Memorial service and Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Saturday, March 9th from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Patriot Center, American Legion Post 318 at 6660 Clough Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45244. In lieu of flowers, Mike requested donations be made to Milford Amateur Radio Club https://milfordhamradio.org/join-renew-donate or a dog adoption organization of your choice.
