Muriel was a loving wife then widow of H Douglas Carter Sr, of Bethel and Cincinnati, OH and loving mother to H Douglas Carter II, Terry Carter, Scott Carter (deceased) and Kimberly (Tom) Simon. She is the half-sister to Karlene Saylers, sister of Carl and Tyrus Faust (both deceased) grandmother to Nicholas Carter, H Douglas Carter III and Brett Lee Carter (deceased) and great-grandmother to 7. She spent most of her life as a stay at home mother (of which her children are grateful); first in Bethel Oh and then in AndersonTwp, Cincinnati, OH. She moved to the country in Winchester, OH to live with her daughter, Kimberly and son-in- law, Tom Simon for her last 2 years of life and it was a blessing to them. Living in the country with her daughter, she remembered the good times when she lived on a farm in Bethel and enjoyed all the wildlife and peace of country living. She was a collector of many antiques and for a time owned/operated an antique store in Anderson Twp, OH and Covington, KY. She began her own business The Finishing Touch from her home and was a professional seamstress who made custom draperies, slipcovers, pillows etc., for many homes throughout the greater Cincinnati and Northern KY area. When she could no longer hang draperiesher children bought her a computer at 75 yrs old and after a learning period, she began to sell on ebay. What a woman/mother! She was a Cub Scout leader, a Girl Scout assistant, volunteer at her daughters school, a member of antique doll clubs, a card/craft artist and loving friend to all who knew her. Many of her childrens friends growing up, just called her mom as she was loving to all. She loved and still loves the Most Holy Trinity and told God she was ready to be with Him. She was a member of the parish: St. Anthony of Padua Maronite Catholic Church in Walnut Hills, OH. http://www.staparish.org/ Flowers, or in lieu of flowers; donations to St. Anthony of Padua, her church or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
