Nancy Gail Ketterer, 75, most recently of Centerville, Ohio passed away at Bethany Village Nursing Home in Centerville on January 28, 2025 surrounded by loving family and her beloved dog, Mariah. Nancy was born April 3, 1949 to Marvin Henry and Ruth Lucille Vogel. She married Larry Ketterer on September 29, 1973 and they were together 51 years, until her passing. She and Larry have 3 children, David Wayne Ketterer (Terri), Carol Ann Naylor (Gary), and Richard Alan Ketterer, and 3 grandchildren, Daniel Ketterer, Robert Ketterer (Roseanna), and Michael Naylor (Ariane). She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Henry Vogel. She is also survived by a sister in law, Cheryl Mooney (Bob). She was also devoted to her pets and owned many dogs, a rabbit, and a rooster over the course of her life.
At various times in her life Nancy resided in St. Louis, MO, Cincinnati, OH, Falmouth and Cumberland, ME and finally Centerville, OH. Nancy considered herself primarily a homemaker and mother, but she also worked as a secretary and a retail manager for many years at Paperphanalia in the Beechmont Mall. In her time In Cincinnati, she and Larry were very active members of Mt Washington Presbyterian Church, where she served in many leadership positions, including Deaconess, Elder, and Leader in the Stephen Ministry, a program equipping members of the church to offer free Christian based counseling to other church and community members experiencing life challenges. In addition to ministering herself, Nancy taught the training class for new Stephen Ministers for over 15 years.
Per Nancy's wishes, there will be no funeral service but memorial gifts to the Wounded Warriors Project, your local Shriner's Hospital, or your local SPCA are gratefully appreciated.
