Nicholas Scott Galinger, 38 years, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 in a local hospital from injuries sustained in an accident. Nicholas was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and has lived in Chattanooga since August, 2018. He moved to Chattanooga to pursue his dream to become a police officer. He has served with the Chattanooga Police Dept. since January, 2019. Nicholas was a attended Clermont Northwestern High School and graduated from DeVry University. He was an avid computer animation fan. Nick is the father of Ethan Galinger and Hailey Galinger both of Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Barry and Gretchen Galinger, Ellabell, GA, brother of Tonya (Timothy) Hasty, Tiffany Galinger both of Cincinnati, OH, Barry Douglas (Stephanie) Galinger II, of Ft. Irwin, CA and Brent (Jennifer) Galinger, Ellabell, GA, grandson of Eileen Galinger, of Ft. Thomas, KY and Patricia Ann Nolan, of Cincinnati, OH, also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church, 6474 Beechmont Ave. Cincinnati, OH (Mt. Washington) on Friday, March 1, at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH (Withamsville). Visitation will be at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church 6474 Beechmont Ave. Cincinnati, OH (Mt. Washington) on Thursday from 12 Noon to 5:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Police dept. or to the American Cancer Society.
