Nicholas Peter "Nick" Laterro, 43, of Loveland, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2018. Though a lifelong Cincinnati resident, Nick touched young and old throughout the country, a trait he inherited from his father and paternal grandfather. As an entrepreneur, Nick worked tirelessly with hundreds of people, sharing his contagious spirit with all whom he met. Becoming a father provided the perfect outlet for Nick's endless love. To see him with his two children was an image of joy, laughter and pride. Sophia and Enzo were his most meaningful accomplishments. He was a huge supporter of the Queen City, especially the UC Bearcats, Bengals and Reds, the city's great eateries and sharing good times and conversations with family and friends. In the words of his favorite musician, Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia: "You do not merely want to be considered the best of the best. You want to be considered the only ones that do what you do." What Nick did for all his loved ones is almost indescribable: He reached hearts and souls of all sizes, changing lives, loving unconditionally. He is the beloved son of Gayle Ann and the late Anthony Albert "Tony" Laterro, devoted father to Sophia, Enzo and stepdaughter, Kayla and partner to their mother, Krista Walsh, loyal and loving brother to Joseph Anthony "Joe" Laterro, special nephew to Sandra R. Elder, Jeanne M. Massaro (John), Anita A. Laterro, and loving cousin to Amy C. Handra, Andrea M. Meade (Joe), Jake E. Doodan, Rosa L. Massaro and Sarah E. Doodan. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Melva F. and Albert A. Laterro and Stella M. and Edward H. Wittenberg. Special thanks to his friends, Paul, Dino and Matt for their wondrous support of Nick's family and children during this most sorrowful time. The first of several celebrations of Nick's life will be at T.P. WHITE AND SONS Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington on Sat. Jan. 20, at 2 PM. Friends may visit on Sat. from 1-2 PM. In lieu of flowers, honor Nick's greatest accomplishment by contributing to www.gofundme.com/laterrofamilyfund for his children's future or give of your time, talents and treasures to someone in need.
