Patricia "Pat" A. Simpson (nee Esslinger) age 76 of Anderson Twp. and formerly of Amelia, died October 21, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Morton "Mort" L. Simpson, loving step-mother of Pamela S. Kelly and Kathy (Dan) Ellis, caring grandmother of Madeline (Chris) Mountenay, Devin Ellis, and Nicholas & Elena Amann, devoted daughter of the late Irvin and Ruth Esslinger, dear sister to Susan (Tom) Hatfield, and the late Mark (Laura) Esslinger, and the amazing aunt of Layla (Adam) Reed, Austin (Tricia) Gilman, David Hatfield, Josh (Hope) Esslinger, Lauren (Michael) Brissie, Mollie (Dan) Barnes, Matt (Kelly) Esslinger and many great nieces and nephews.
Pat was a woman with many beautiful talents. She retired from her career as an underwriter at US Bank Home Mortgage in 2012 to enjoy her time traveling the world, visiting local quilting shops and shows, doting on her precious cats Gracie and Ruby, and spending time with her loved ones. Pat was known for her love of The Lord, grace and many talents. She dedicated time volunteering at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, and making quilts for the Ronald McDonald House, friends and family.
In her last year of life, Pat resided at the New England Club in Anderson Township, where she devoted her time cruising the halls in her scooter. She knew the latest on every person she talked to and even found time to ensure her family received the most recent update on the ducks.
Pat leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love, compassion, understanding, and one heck of a quilt collection.
