Patrick J. Kenney

Patrick J. Kenney, age 87, passed away at home on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Pat was born (12-7-1936) and raised in Morris, IL, where he began his 44-year career at the Kroger Company. He was an amazing man that worked hard, starting by washing windows, and ending as an Executive Senior Vice President. It took a lot of dedication, and lots of moves.

Pat met the love of his life, his wife Claudette M Kenney, nee Steele, in high school where they dated for 4 years and have been wed 67 years. Pat has 4 children, Mark Kenney (LeAnne), Terese "Teeky" Kenney, Jayna Koler (Michael), and Colleen Kenney. He has 8 grandchildren, Ryan Kenney (Ashley), Jared Kenney (Christina), Nicholas Kenney (Amanda), Alexis Kenney, Aidan Kenney, Alyssa Mackiw (Mitch), Lauren Spiker (Ryan), and Ian Koler. He currently has 5 great grandchildren, Tyson Kenney, Landree Kenney, Kylie Kenney, Reagan Kenney & Elliot Sipes-Kenney, and 2 more, Baby Mackiw & Baby Spiker, due any day. Pat is also survived by his older sister Barbara Vacca (Michael) and his younger brother Paul Kenney (Charlotte).

When Pat was not working, he was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, reader and loved crossword puzzles. He and Claudette bought a motor coach after retiring and traveled the US & Canada with their friends, keeping Cincinnati as their home base for 18 years. He also really enjoyed spending time with family and playing cards, especially Klinker and Euchre.

Pat is predeceased by his parents, James Kenney and Mary Kenney, nee Gustat, his brother Peter Kenney and his daughter Terese Kenney.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 23,2024, 1:30pm - 3:30pm with service immediately following at 3:30pm at T.P. White and Sons, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45230.
