Pauline Collins Alverson went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2023. Pauline was born on September 6, 1926 in Cane Valley, KY to the late Willie and Annie Feese Collins. Pauline was united in marriage to Maurice F. Alverson on June 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1990.
Pauline is survived by her four sons: Fred (Janet, deceased) of Katy, TX; Wayne (Susan); Greg (Elaine Kemper); and Jeff (Emily). She had six grandchildren: Brandon Alverson, Lindsey Alverson, Tyler Alverson, Caitlin Graham, Kayla Bertke, and Michelle Roy; and four great grandchildren: Beckett and Brea Nicolle Bertke, and Grady and Owen Roy.
Pauline graduated from Columbia High School in Columbia, KY in 1944. After graduation, Pauline attended college and worked for a bank in Louisville, KY. After marriage, Pauline and Maurice resided in cities along the Ohio River including Louisville, KY; Pittsburgh, PA; Gallipolis, OH; and Cincinnati, OH as Maurice worked in river transportation. Upon moving to Cincinnati, Pauline worked for the Forest Hills School District.
Pauline was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She volunteered in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, Indian Guides, and soccer. She was an active and faithful member of Parkside Christian Church and involved in many ministries of the church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
