Rev. Ongaro

Ongaro, Rev. Mario, 'Fr. Mario', age 86 years , a Comboni Missionary, died peacefully at Hospice of Cincinnati in Anderson Twp on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012. Fr. Mario, a native of Italy, came to the United States as a student in 1947. He did his priestly studies at Mt. St. Mary's of the West and was ordained a priest in 1951. He spent most of his life in the Greater Cincinnati area, first as an educator at Sacred Heart Seminary then performing his priestly ministry in and around Cincinnati. He leaves behind his religious community and many devoted friends. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Anderson Twp. on Thur. Dec. 20, at 2 PM. Visitation at T.P. WHITE & SONS Funeral Home Mt. Washington on Wed. from 5-7 PM and at the Church on Thur. from 1-2 PM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe, MI on Friday, December 21st.
