Richard "Dick" L. Bere

Richard "Dick" Bere, age 93, passed away on September 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bette Jo (nee McCarty) Bere, and his cherished son, Cory Bere. He is survived by his daughter, Staci (Bill) McLauchlan, as well as grandchildren Sarah B. Clark, Susan McLauchlan, Doug, Sarah, and Brad Clift, and 16 great-grandchildren. Dick served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Kroger Company. After retiring, he dedicated his time to volunteering at Crayons to Computers, a free store for teachers, and also served on the organization's board. In addition, he served on the boards of the Free Store/Food Bank, Christ Hospital, and the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts. He was actively involved in the Anderson Hills Church. A memorial service will be held on October 2, at 1:00pm at Anderson Hills Church, 7663 Forest Rd, Anderson Twp. 45230. Private interment at Spring Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anderson Hills Church.
