Richard "Dick" H. Burns

Richard H. "Dick" Burns, beloved husband of Gerry Burns (nee Marcum); devoted father of Jeff (Meg) Burns, Curt (Cheryl) Burns, Doug Burns, Jenny (Jay) Weiglein, Kenny (Jenny) Burns, & the late Bob Burns; dear brother of Ken (Rochelle) Burns, & the late Sue Dearwester & Phil Burns; loving grandfather of Lucas, Amanda (Michael), Marie, Emma, Joss, Matthew, Delaney, Daisy, Mick, & Melanie; Great grandfather of June. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Passed away March 13, 2023, at the age of 85. A graduate of Anderson High School and Ohio University, Dick established a successful business in Anderson Twp while raising a loving family with his wife Gerry. Community involvement in local school and business organizations were a hallmark of the decades to come as Dick showed a unique ability to connect and develop lasting friendships. Dick enjoyed extensive travel, Cincinnati Sports, and especially playing golf and cards. His greatest joys were his pride in his family and the time he spent with his many friends. Service at T.P. WHITE & SONS Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Wed. Mar. 22, at 10 AM. Friends may visit the funeral home on Tues., Mar. 21, from 4-7 PM. Memorials may go to JDRF or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
