Robert C. Baioni, 76, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2024 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born on December 15, 1947, to the late Charlie and Neda Baioni. He was a loving husband and best friend to Donna(nee Pierani) for 57 years, a devoted father to Jeff (Marien) and Dave (Suzanne), and an amazing Paw Paw to Tyler (Leah), Noah (Karah), Molly (Walker), and Ben. He is also survived by sisters Nancy (Chris) Philpot and Paula (Rick) Helmes, in laws Bill (Polly), Bev, and Mark (Diane) Pierani, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Gary Price, favorite "adopted" son.
Bob grew up in Norwood Ohio, where he met Donna at St. Matthews School. He graduated from Purcell in 1965. Following graduation, he served in the Air National Guard for six years. He worked as a butcher at various meat stores for many years, while also joining the Cincinnati Fire Department in 1971 as a fireman, later becoming a paramedic. He retired as a Lieutenant after 26 years. Not one to rest, Bob started a second career at Patient Transport Services. He retired, again, 20 years later as Regional Vice President.
In his free time, he enjoyed cooking and travelling. He loved cooking for his family and sharing his recipes with his sons and grandkids - inspiring them to learn how to cook. Every week, they shared pictures of their homecooked meals with each other. He also loved travelling with Donna, especially when it was with the kids and grandkids. Above it all, his greatest joy was spending time with family.
