Richard, Robert A., age 85, a retired businessman and son of the late Ralph and Charlotte Richard, died on June 28th, 2014 of complications from pancreatic cancer. Mr. Richard was born in Bedford, IN, on July 18th 1928. He was a 1947 graduate of Withrow High School in Cincinnati. He served as a U.S. Army Sergeant during the Korean War. He was married to Betty Nicoletti Richard and the late L. Virginia Richard. Mr. Richard founded Rich's Electric Co. and operated it for 35 yrs. until his retirement in 1993. The Richards purchased the Dilly Deli, now known as the Dilly Cafe' in Mariemont in 1985 and managed the business until 1989 when his daughter, Robbie, moved it to its present location in the Mariemont Strand. Survivors include his wife Betty Nicoletti-Richard; daughters Layne (Jay) Hammock of Anderson Twp., and Robbie Warinner of Pleasant Ridge; son Rand A. Richard (Philip Sebron) of Fairfax; grandchildren Tyson of Anderson Twp., Alex of Columbus and Kiera of Fairfax; step-son Gregory (Tina) Nicoletti of Newport, KY; sister-in-law Joann Richard of Anderson Twp., and several nieces and nephews. One brother David B. Richard (Joann) preceeded him in death in Oct. 2012. He was a member of Yeatman-Mt. Washington Masonic Lodge #162 F.&A.M., Milford Lodge #54 F.&A.M., Royal Arch Masons #179, Scottish Rite Mason, Victor Stier American Legion Post #450, and Mt. Washington United Methodist Church. He was a past Master of Oakley Lodge #162. Visitation will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., in Mt. Washington on Tuesday, July 1st, from 5:30-8:30 P.M. (Yeatman-Mt. Washington #162 F.&A.M. will hold Masonic Services beginning at 7:30 P.M., followed by a Scottish Rite service). Funeral Services will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 2nd. Interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
