Robert William Weaver, age 81, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024. Born on April 10, 1943, to the late Eulass and Gertrude Weaver, Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Bob studied Fine Arts at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Graphic Design. Throughout his life he produced many impressive works of art.
A devoted family man, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rosemary Weaver (née Gilbert), his two children, Eric and Brian Weaver, his two grandchildren, Aeron Horton and Rowan Weaver, and four great grandchildren, Andrew, Bristol, Brayden and Evan Horton, whom he adored and who brought immense joy to his life. Bob's life was marked by his passion for art, defending civil rights, advocating for the disadvantaged and the disenfranchised and standing up for justice. He was also an ardent lover of nature. His dry humor and sharp wit was insightful and a delight.
Bob was deeply involved in the Civil Rights movement of the '60s and part of the Freedom Summer Project. He was an active member of his community and a constant volunteer with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society at Guardian Angel Church and the Board of the Clermont County Mental Health Council. His generosity, kindness, and dedication to helping others were evident to all who knew him.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on July 13, 2024, at his home in Mt. Washington.
