Rosemary Sturm

Strum, Rosemary Kathryn (nee Foppe) passed away at the age of 89 on Friday, March 24 th. Rosemary was born on February 29 th , 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Herman and Alice (nee Loeffler) Foppe. She was a member of Guardian Angles Catholic Church in Cincinnati (Mount Washington), Ohio. Beloved wife of the late David J. Sturm, married for 66 years. Devoted mother of Charles (MaryAnne) and Steven Sturm, loving grandmother of Alana Rose. Rosemary is survived by her sisters Pat (the late Bob) Von Korff, Charlotte (the late Dick) Shultz, Celeste (Burt) Riehle, and brother Bob (the late Miriam). In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her sister Peg (Ray) Von Hagel, and her brother William (Betty) Foppe. While attending St. Mary High School in Hyde Park, Rosemary was selected to be on Shillitos Teen Sewing Board where they made clothing and participated in fashion shows to display their creations. Rosemary worked for Hats by Helyn until she became a mother. She was a member of St. Anthony Parish during those early years and volunteered as a sacristan and altered vestments. She made wedding dresses and veils for herself and for family members. A Mass of Christian Burial at Guardian Angels Church, Mt. Washington on Thursday, March 30 th at 10:30 AM.
