Roy Allen King, age 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, December 21, 2023. Roy was born on October 3, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH. He was the first-born child of Oid and Virginia King. Roy had a full life, attended Anderson High School, joined the navy at a young age and served his country for 4 years. He went on to a successful career as an entrepreneur and developed a geothermal pool heating system at the company he founded in Englewood, FL called Symbiont Service Corp. His daughter Sandy continues to run the company since his retirement. Roy loved to scuba dive, talk politics, cook, and write. He authored 4 books. One book is a technical book on geothermal pool heating and Roy is considered a leading expert in this area. The other 3 books were fictional novels enjoyed by many. Roy is survived by his wife, Karen, his siblings, Roger, Karen and Susan, his 5 children including Cathy, Mark, David, Sandy and Steve. He has 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Cincinnati. A celebration of his life will be held at Symbiont Service Corp, 4372 N. Access Road, Englewood, FL 34224.
