Ruth Bellamy

Bellamy, Ruth (nee Coffey), beloved wife of 63 years to Lynn Bellamy and dedicated mother to Sarah Jane Bellamy, Carol Cox, Patricia (Mark Franklin) Bellamy, Tom (Koko) Bellamy, and Tracey (Tom) Lewis, passed on May 27, 2014, at the age of 83. Preceded in death by parents Flotus and Dolores Coffey, as well as sisters Hazel Mann and Junie Reed. She is survived by siblings Johnny Coffey, Connie Bunch, and Pauline Jones. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Jenny (Dave) Fricke, Miki (Dean) Johns, Jordan Sears, Micah Sears, Liz Cox, Katie Lewis, Sophie Lewis and Carson Bellamy, as well as 4 great-grandchildren: Noah & Eli Rheude and Vlad & Jossi Johns. She was an active volunteer and community member in Anderson Township and dedicated to her church, Mt. Washington Baptist. Her generosity, strength, and compassion will be missed by her family and those in the community who knew her. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a visitation on Thursday, May 29 from 6-8 p.m. at TP White Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave in Mt. Washington. Funeral Services will be held Friday May 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Washington Baptist Church. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Mt Washington Baptist Church or to VITAS Hospice at The Drake Center.
