Ruth Elaine Stratton (nee Kirby), loving wife of the late C. Robert Stratton (Bob), devoted mother of Debra (Tom) Fogarty, Donna (Doug) Duddey, C. Michael (Kathy), the late Ted and Timothy (Angie) Stratton.
Loving daughter of the late John Allen and Mary (Paul) Kirby. She was preceded in death by her brothers: John (Carolyn), Robert (Dee), and step-brother Charles (Enid) Kirby. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Caring grandmother, "G", of: Molly, Kevin (Courtney) Fogarty; Drew (Veronica), Matt (Carmen) Duddey; Shannon (Tim) Mould, Christopher (Leah) Stratton; Daniel Stratton; J. Falon Cole (John Long), Bruce Schweikert, Sara (Aaron) Combs, Elijah (Eden), Alex (Katie) Stratton. She is also survived by 15 precious great grandchildren. Ruth loved spending time with her family. They were everything to her.
Through the years, she has enjoyed get togethers, trips, lunches and visits with her special lifelong friends. She enjoyed and appreciated her caregivers, who also became her friends.
She passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 28, 2022 at 91 years old.
Ruth donated her body to UC medical school so a memorial mass will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Beechmont Avenue. The service will also be streamed live and stay on the web for a couple days at ihom.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save the Animals Foundation (STAF), a no kill animal shelter @ 4011 Red Bank Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227, in memory of Ruth Stratton.
