Ruth Winder Erhardt made her transition to her spiritual home on February 15th, 2021 at the age of 89. She was the first born child of Richard and Gladys Winder of Bethel, Ohio. She leaves behind her daughters Jean D. Erhardt and Sara J. Erhardt , sister Mary Winder Kamphaus, daughter in law Denise Reynolds Erhardt, grandchild Elizabeth Leah Erhardt, and in-laws, Chris and Nancy Erhardt, Christine Kaufmann, and extended families and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John D. Erhardt, son John R. Erhardt, sister Linda Lee Winder, and brother Richard Owen Winder.
She was raised in a rural farming family and went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing in 1953. Ruth was an R.N. and educator at Christ Hospital, administrative leader at the Arthritis Foundation in Cincinnati, and an advocate for the Cancer Support Community of Cincinnati since her battle with cancer in the 1990s.
As a professional, mother and wife of 67 years, Ruth was a nurse, counselor, mother and a seeker of truth and love of life. She was dedicated to her family and loved ones all her life, and she leaves behind a loving legacy to her family and loved ones.
There will be a private family burial at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Plans for celebration of life for Ruth will be announced in spring. T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home serving the family.
