Ruth Nelson Hilmer

Ruth Nelson Hilmer passed away on September 29th, 2021 at the age of 79 after an over 20 year struggle with Parkinson's Disease. She was the beloved wife of the late David Axel Nelson and Richard Hilmer. At Evergreen Retirement Community, she dated Bruce Venable, who was her companion for over the last two years of her life. She is survived by boyfriend, Bruce Venable, children Julie and David, Eric and Sheryl; Step Children Erika and Erin; Siblings, Johnny, Terry Carol and Peg; Grandchildren David (Dozer), Shamus, Hayley, Tyler and Luke. Growing up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin gave Ruth the opportunity to excel in her favorite activities of ice skating and throwing parties. Later she enjoyed playing tennis and golf. When she moved into Evergreen Retirement Center she started a Euchre Club. Service at T.P. WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave, Mt. Washington on Fri. Oct. 8, at 1:30 PM . Friends may visit on Fri. from 12:30-1:30 PM. Internment Spring Grove Cemetery. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association or Parkinson's Foundation.
